Meridian Training Race

Always a great workout and turnout for this 'training' race.

Do you remember learning how to ride a bike?

Of course you do.

Not a whole lot of racing going on these days with the crazy CO weather coming in every weekend. I've decided I like racing into than training into shape. First real race of the season and probably one of the toughest is Deer Trail this Sat. It will be very interesting.

I don't take phone calls on the bike for obvious reasons but yesterday my crackberry rang and it just felt right to take it. Cruising down the Cherry Creek bike path I hear my nephew Luke say "Ummm....Uncle Mark I can ride two wheels now!" How cool is that to hear? I was so happy and I could tell he was a happy little fella. Looking forward to summer rides to Cold Stone with his big brother Cole, build dirt jumps and maybe some kids races.

Better than Starbucks Coffee...

Checkout my good friend and pro cyclist Ian MacGregor's website for his Just Go Harder Foundation. Support the great cause and buy their coffee blend homemade CO. Great coffee for a great cause. You can't beat that!

My family rocks!

The next best thing I like to do besides racing myself is to watch my family get out there and run crazy ass marathons and half marathons. And I thought I was a glutton for punishment.

Lacey and Michael ran a 2 hour half marathon with little to no training at all so I'm guessing they will crush their goal of running a sub 4 hour marathon next fall. I was most impressed with the announcer at the end of the video making a great attempt at pronouncing our last name. Not bad.
