Chloe: New restaurant, lounge, club

Lets just say if I had a rating system from 1 beer to 5 beers with 5 being the best I'd give this place a wine cooler. I had confirmation that we were on the guest list only to find out we were not when we got there. The Bouncers were rude, confused and not very helpful. It probably didn't help they couldn't see anything on those tiny blackberries they were using as the guest list. I mean for a wealthy owner who has 5 bars/clubs in Denver you would think someone with experience would suggest to him, "Hey lets use iPads so we can see shit and still look cool." My two cents. So I imagine I'll make my way over there again but for happy hour only. Lets hope they can handle that.

Happy Birthday Lola

Today my Lola(Grandma) turns 96. How awesome is that?! And she's getting stronger each year believe it or not. I'd say today is a special day but the reality is that every chance I get to see her is a special day. I've been very fortunate enough to see her a lot this past year and I've loved every minute of it. It's our typical McDs lunch at Tita Daisy's. She has her Filet-o-fish and fries and I have my cheeseburger and fries. We simply sit, eat and chat about life. It's one of the most calming and happiest times of my life and will always be. So I decided to look for a little poem or saying to help me better describe what an incredibly beautiful person my Lola is and I came up with the quote below by Barbara Cage. That's my Lola. I love you Lola!

A grandma is warm hugs and sweet memories. She remembers all of your accomplishments and forgets all of your mistakes. She is someone you can tell your secrets and worries to, and she hopes and prays that all your dreams come true. She always loves you, no matter what. She can see past temper tantrums and bad moods, and makes it clear that they don't affect how precious you are to her. She is an encouraging word and a tender touch. She is full of proud smiles. She is the one person in the world who loves you with all her heart, who remembers the child you were and cherishes the person you've become. ~Barbara Cage~
